Hello, Everyone!

Hello to Everyone!

Everything here in El Salvador is great. We have experienced several earthquakes, lots of wind, and many days without phone or internet service. But none of that has kept us from working! The schedule has been full and I will highlight a few of the things that have happened or will happen soon.

Abigail's House is still running with the one lady and her baby. We have two other women who are in the process of filing their reports with the police, which they are required to do before they can come to us. We are learning so much through the process and every day, we are fine-tuning our work. We have had several meetings with ISDEMU, which is the organization here in El Sal for women. They are coming this Saturday to Abigail to give seminars and "inspect" our facilities. They used to have a house here for women, but had to close it for various reasons. So we are hoping to glean from their experience. And just for them to come is an amazing amount of favor within itself.

Last week, I was invited to speak at the International Business Women's breakfast here in San Salvador. What a wonderful opportunity for me and I was able to speak with many women afterwards who had experienced or were experiencing the same issues I have experienced in my life. This was a wonderful opportunity to share how we are not alone in our issues, but have Someone who is able to do all things for us and through us. From that engagement, I have received three other invitations to speak. The next is tomorrow morning at a ladies breakfast and then two invitations to speak at couple's conferences. That surprised me, but I am willing and will go.

We were also able to go out and feed a little over 150 people. We organized this event with a local church in a very poor community. We were able to use their facilities as well as be in a safe location. What a blessing they were to us. We cooked pounds of spaghetti, made cooked veggies, had fresh baked bread and drinks. Then we passed out candy to all the children and the "adult" children as well. It was a wonderful time for everyone.

Many other things are in the works and I am thankful to be here. I know that every day I have the opportunity to speak into someone or touch their life in some way. I just want to be His hand extended!! Thank you as always for your prayers, love, and support. I find that the busier I get here, the less time I have for the computer. But please do not for one minute think you are not near my heart and in my thoughts and prayers. I love and miss all of you.
